There’s more to seeing than with our natural eyes. There is a spiritual dimension into which we can look and see not only where we’ve been, or where we are, but where we can go.
Scripture speaks of Seers, who are selected people who see into the supernatural realm that surrounds, and even into time itself. God is not inhibited by time. He uses it to interact with us, but He lives in the eternal.
We live in the temporal, but those of us who are born again are also able to operate in the eternal. We are also called to be a prophetic people. This means seeing into the spiritual world, or hearing from God to speak, into the the natural world, spiritual things.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18
We look at the things which are to seen, that is, the eternal things of the Spirit. The only way to do this is to be in relationship with the Spirit of God through the new birth. That is when our spiritual eyes are opened, and we begin to see the new possibilities before us.
This comes by understand who God is and how He interacts with our born again spirit. We can only learn to understand God properly by reading and studying and absorbing His Word.
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
John 17:3
If we want to know God and see into His kingdom we have t first be saved, which leads to being born of the Spirit. When we have eternal life we can see into the eternal kingdom and know His kingdom principles. This view is enhanced when we study His Word, which is His will for urn lives and destiny.
We can see more than we think.
