There isn’t a single person on this earth today who doesn’t need Jesus. Each one of us needs to connect with God the Father through faith in His Son. We all need grace. We all need salvation. We all need the Saviour of the world.
The good news is that God the Father has sent Jesus with a message of hope for all people. We have been given the good news that Jesus has paid the price of everyone’s sin, and we can all be saved because of His sacrifice.
All we have to do is listen to the message of hope, believe it, and accept the promise of eternal life through confessing Jesus as Lord.
Why do we need Jesus?
The simple answer to this is that we have forfeited our own righteousness. We cannot stand before God in the state we are in because He is a holy God and His very presence is so holy that we could not stand before Him in a state of sin. It would instantly kill us.
The only way we can access His holy Presence is through being cleansed by His Word and by the power of the blood of Jesus which was shed for our remission–so that we could be bought back from iniquity and saved from the world of sin.
Jesus was sent for this very task. There had to be a ransom paid for our sin. He paid it at the cross. He fulfilled His task and, though He died and was buried, death had no legal hold on Him, and He revived. He was raised. This is called the resurrection.
That resurrection wasn’t only His. It was also ours. His death was for us, and, therefore it was our death He died. He was buried in the tomb for us. Therefore He was also raised for us. He is the resurrection and the life.
Can we come to Jesus?
Everyone who hears the gospel and believes can come to Him. We can confess Him as Lord when we believe in Him in our heart. This isn’t just a head-knowledge thing. We have to believe from the heart. This where the once dead spirit of every person can come alive to God–through the new birth, where God regenerates our spirit to come into full understanding of His kingdom.
The right time to yield ourselves to God through Jesus is always Today. It is the day of salvation. Now is the right time to be saved.
It is a free offer of grace to be saved. It comes because the price is paid. Jesus is waiting to welcome all who will come to Him in faith. Now is the time.
